SouthCore Real Estate focuses on assisting clients with the buying, selling, leasing, and property management of commercial real estate in South Georgia, as well as marketing and selling farms and recreational hunting tracts. Our founder Mike Everett has almost thirty years in the real estate industry. Mike joined his father, former Georgia Public Service Commissioner, Doug Everett in Southern Appraisal Company in 1991, and became President/CEO in 2003. Mike obtained the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. During his tenure as an appraiser/owner of the appraisal company, Mike has appraised over 1,200 commercial, industrial, land and investment properties. Mike leveraged his extensive appraisal background by obtaining his Georgia real estate sales license and later acquired his Georgia broker’s license. SouthCore represents the culmination of Mike’s unique experience and knowledge in commercial real estate.
SouthCore knows South Georgia. As Property Manager, SouthCore is presently responsible for the management of forty tenant relationships and the oversight of eighteen office, retail and industrial properties. Executed leased transactions include national companies such as Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Progressive Insurance, Sunbelt Rentals, Mediacom, and Great American Insurance, and institutional tenants including F.D.I.C. and the University of Georgia.
Mike Everett
Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. He served six years on the Albany-Dougherty Planning Commission and is a 2004 Leadership Albany alum.
Mike is active in his church, Porterfield United Methodist, and has served on the finance committee and as chairman of the board of trustees. He is married to Cristen and they have two children, Virginia and Ben. Leisure interests include hunting, golf, and fishing.
